Par 3 Challenge

2017 Par 3 Challenge Participants

2017 Par 3 Challenge took place on April 1, 2017.  Look for next opportunity in 2018.

The event format is a two-person team event (Four-Ball stroke play) designed to welcome a newer golfer into a competitive environment.  Each person plays his/her own ball the entire hole with the lower of the two scores counting as the team score for the hole. The event scoring allows for both a Gross and Net Division.

Eligibility Information:

  • Entries are open to all EWGA members (and non-members) who are female or male amateur golfers and have a verifiable USGA Handicap Index if playing in the Net Division
  • Active PGA/LPGA Professionals or other golf Professionals are not eligible to play
  • Teams may be comprised of two women or one man/one woman
  • Registration deadline is 15 days prior to the Chapter scheduled event date

Players registering to play in the Net Division must have an established USGA Handicap Index and have an equivalent of two (2) 18-hole scores posted to their handicap record in the past 12-months.  Players with fewer than the minimum requirements posted will not be eligible to compete in the Net Division.

Players who do not currently have a USGA handicap index and wish to create one must post the minimum of five (5) 18-hole scores through a handicap service (Golfnet or GHIN) to establish a Handicap.

$10 from each player registration fee with benefit the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf program, the only national junior golf program that specializes in providing girl-friendly environments for juniors to learn the game.  Gather your friends, form your two-person teams and play in your EWGA Par 3 Challenge Chapter event to benefit LPGA*USGA Girls Golf.
